LDBE RE Curriculum Materials
In response to the National Content Standard (2023), the Ofsted RE subject report (2024) and the Religion and Worldviews curriculum guidance (2024), the Lincoln Diocesan Board of Education has produced a series of curriculum materials to support teachers and leaders of RE.
LDBE Primary RE Curriculum
The LDBE primary RE curriculum is for use in voluntary aided schools and academies (including MATs).
These materials cover Early Years (FS2) to upper KS2, providing medium-term plans with embedded resource links. They take a religion and worldviews approach and take into account the need to have a balance of Abrahamic, Dharmic and non-religious worldviews.
LDBE KS3 Religion and Worldviews Case Studies
This set of case studies has been written to support the KS3 RE curriculum. They take a religion and worldviews approach, hanging the learning on tangible lived examples of religious, non-religious and indigenous worldviews. Each case study provides suggested activities and resources that support students to develop the ways of knowing in RE, as well as embedding oracy, critical thinking and self-reflexivity. They cover a balance of Abrahamic, Dharmic and non-religious worldviews.
The case studies enable the development of key worldview concepts, providing progression steps for both core concepts and disciplinary knowledge. Links are made with the Lincolnshire locally agreed syllabus for RE (2025-2030) and AQA GCSE Religious Studies.
