Christmas 2023 Bulletin

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, thatwhoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

At Christmas time, we celebrate the birth of baby Jesus – God’s greatest gift to the world. Like at the time of Jesus’ birth, there are many challenging situations in the world including wars, conflicts and poverty. We continue to pray for everyone who is impacted by such distressing events. When Jesus was born in the stable, there was a deep sense of joy and hope for the future. It is a time of year that we can celebrate all that is good in our lives. It is also a time we can reflect on the Christmas story and know that God is with us, to give us strength, to guide us, to comfort us and to provide us with a hopeful future.

On behalf of the Diocesan Board of Education, I would like to say a huge thank you for all your hard work and incredible support to church schools this term. We wish you a peaceful and joyful Christmas; and a Happy New Year.

from Canon Paul Thompson - Diocesan Director of Education
