Bulletin - 12-12-22
For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
We have come to the end of a very busy term in school. I know you will be exhausted and can’t wait for Friday! In this last week of term, there will be lots of excited children and adults in schools. You may be partaking in Christmas parties, nativity plays, Carol services, award ceremonies and the list goes on. Although exhausting, I think it is the most wonderful time of year to be in school. It is great to feel the joy and hope of Christmas – the time when God gave us his precious gift of his son, Jesus Christ.
Last week, it was fantastic that pupils, staff and parents from 13 schools from across the diocese were able to take part in the Diocesan Carol Service in Lincoln Cathedral. It was so uplifting to see 700 people from different school communities come together and sing Carols in beautiful harmony.
On behalf of the Diocesan Education team, I would like to wish you the most wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year.
Best wishes
Paul Thompson (Diocesan Director of Education)
