Religion and Worldviews: Inspiring Curiosity

Full CalendarConference

This event will take place between 10:00am and 3:30pm on 25/06/2024

This conference welcomes RE teachers and leaders from across greater Lincolnshire to join in the conversation about religion and worldviews. A wide range of speakers and workshop leaders offer their own take on the latest thinking, research and practice in RE. Providing practical inspiration and engaging examples of classroom experience, we invite you to explore what it means to take a ‘worldviews approach’ to RE.

Keynote Speakers:

Gillian Georgiou has worked as a researcher and secondary teacher of RE and Philosophy. She is currently the Diocesan RE Adviser for the Lincoln Diocesan Board of Education, supporting church and community schools across the region to deliver effective RE. She has written for various RE-related publications, and has a particular interest in curriculum design, types of knowledge in RE and assessment. She is a member of the RE Council of England and Wales, a trustee of Culham St Gabriel’s and is involved in a number of projects nationwide that engage with the public perception of religious and non-religious worldviews.
