Heads of School Development Programme

Full CalendarSchool Improvement

This event will take place between 1:30pm and 3:30pm on 28/04/2021

The Head of School Development Programme’ is running for a total of 5 sessions between April 2021 and Summer term 2022, for 2 hours each, they will have the aim of giving colleagues opportunity to develop themselves personally in light of their roles and choose an area within schools they would like to develop, all with support from the DBE team.

During each session there will be opportunity to have:

  • Input from the Diocesan team with up to date, relevant training
  • Time for reflection, personally and professionally
  • Share with colleagues from around the diocese in similar roles
  • Devise and work on a personal learning contract with support from the DBE team

Using the personal learning contracts, setting objectives and outcomes will be an excellent opportunity to be part of a community which is engaged in reflective practice. We believe this a cost effective way of facilitating high quality leadership development, with high quality resources, including deep discussion and collaborative learning.

While this is being run by the DBE and will have elements of working in a church school, if you have community schools in your family of schools, it will also be relevant to them.
