SIAMS/SECTION 48 CHURCH SCHOOL INSPECTION

The Church of England Education Office (previously the National Society) introduced
the present schedule for the Statutory Inspection of Anglican Schools from Autumn
term 2018. This course is designed to provide training in the Schedule for leaders did
not access it during 2018-19.

To continue to support schools in their preparation and self-evaluation, there will be
update training days at venues across the Diocese in 2020.

The day will be in two parts:

The morning session will focus on the schedule,covering all aspects of the requirements
therein.

The afternoon session is intended to provide delegates with some time to update your school SEF or have a useful quiet space to update any other documentation.

Delegates can choose either the full or half day sessions.

Course Details:
Morning session 9:30am for 10am start - 12pm £85 (non SLA £130)
Optional afternoon session 12:30pm - 3pm lunch included £170 (non SLA £275)

Location: Diocean Education Centre, 103 Newport, Lincoln, LN1 3EE

 

We are also running a series of sessions around the diocese that will help school leaders access the language of the SIAMS schedule and relate it to the work carried out in their schools.

The course will consist of:

• Practical support in working with the new SIAMS evaluation schedule

• Helping senior leaders connect the language of the schedule to the vision for their school community
• Providing assistance in the process of self-evaluation for SIAMS

This  training will be run in the morning with option to stay for the afternoon to work on your SEF with help

These sessions are being led by Yvonne Shaw (School Effectiveness Adviser, SIAMS inspector) and Gillian Georgiou (Diocesan RE Adviser.
