The Belton Wroot Federation is looking for a new Executive Head to manage two Church of England schools on the Isle of Axholme (Belton and Wroot):

  • Belton All Saints Primary School.
  • Wroot Travis Charity Primary School.

With the forthcoming retirement of the current Executive Head we are looking to recruit an experienced senior leader who puts children at the heart of everything they do and who can lead both schools into the future - ensuring the very best education provision and outcomes for our pupils.

We now wish to appoint to the position of Head Teacher, an excellent and inspiring leader to drive the school through its next stage of development and shape our curriculum and aspirations for the future.

We are looking for someone who is able to lead, challenge and motivate, with energy, kindness and compassion. A person who can identify with and put into effect our vision and values which are rooted in the Christian ethos of the school.

Also, someone who can listen but is robust and resilient, not afraid to challenge and change, who is aspirational and who can seek, if necessary, different but effective ways in which to work.

About Spalding
Spalding is an attractive, mid sized traditional market town located in the midst of the agriculture and bulb farmland and industries of South Lincolnshire. With easy access to Peterborough and its frequent and fast rail links to London.

Spalding and its surrounding villages is a very affordable place to live and the school is located in an area where there is still growing housing development with a continued influx of young families.

About the School
St John’s is a Church of England Voluntary Aided two form entry school founded in 1875 and at the heart of the Parish of St John’s.

We currently have 430 children on roll, 24.5% are EAL, 14% are on the SEN register with 8 children with EHCPs in place. For many years the school has been oversubscribed and has a very good reputation both locally and within Spalding.
The school operates its budget and finances on an own account basis and our financial position is very stable.
