This event will take place between 10:00am and 3:15pm on 24/03/2021

We are delighted to announce this year we are running our Headteacher, Chair of Governors and Clergy conference virtually on the theme of ‘Positive Leadership’.  We are excited to deliver a conference with excellent key note speakers and workshops to support you in all you do in your schools and for the children.

For our keynote speakers this year we have

Dr Andy Cope – the Art of Brilliance

Dr Andy Cope is a qualified teacher, best-selling author, happiness expert and recovering academic. Andy’s Loughborough University PhD was 12 years in the making and while he appreciates that his ‘Dr of Happiness’ label is terribly cheesy it does afford him an important media platform. In times of rising depression and an epidemic of anxiety, Andy believes there has never been a more appropriate time to raise the wellbeing agenda.

Dr Roger Bretherton – Associate Professor University of Lincoln

Dr Roger Bretherton is Principal Lecturer for Enterprise in the School of Psychology, at the University of Lincoln. His teaching, research and consultancy centre around Character Strengths and Virtues - the positive qualities of character related to psychological wellbeing.

We are also pleased to have with us Sarah Spencer Discipleship in the World Officer & Diocesan Environmental Officer (former Chaplain at St Lawrence Academy, Scunthorpe) and Charlotte Bloom Chaplain at William Farr Academy C of E Comprehensive School discussing how to nourish your soul in this current season.

The afternoon will consist of the choice of the following workshops.

  • Dr Roger Bretherton, University of Lincoln

Mindful Practices for Character Strengths

  • Samantha Stewart, DBE Senior School Effectiveness Adviser

  • Gillian Georgiou, DBE RE & SIAMS Adviser
